Although I've no photo to prove it, we finally saw our first hummingbird this morning (Sunday) hitting the feeder in one of the front porch flower boxes. I read somewhere that the spring migration of ruby throated hummingbirds coincides with the blooming of columbine, so this afternoon we planted this fellow by the sidewalk in front of the house. (Thanks, Donna, for taking the photographs.)
