Snow falling on feeders

Noon. Tuesday, February 12. Gold finches toward the top (for Valentine's Day, let's say they are a couple); fat sparrow on the bottom.

You are right. Gold finches on top but the sparrow looks like a "white-throated" sparrow on the bottom. If it was a larger picture I could say for certain. My eyes are almost 74 years old and don't see small things like they used too.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and to your family.

I also linked your blog to mine. I hope it brings you some traffic. You have a nice blog.

Hi Abe,

Once again, you are right -- according to my Peterson Guide, that is a white-throated sparrow.

And I probably shouldn't have called him fat. It appears that they are just shaped that way. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure sparrows don't read my blog.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family as well.
