To be sure, the times ahead will be long and hard, and if we are to get through them, we will have to all pitch in, a theme Mr. Obama has struck throughout his campaign.
But for now, it feels like the days after Christmas, when nobody wants to be the first to take down his Christmas tree, hoping to hold on to all those good feelings, and to stave off thoughts of all of the work that lies ahead in the year to come.

I think its great people are keeping hope alive. Sometimes, though, I think its mostly laziness that people leave the signs in their yards. I saw a ton of McCain/Palin ones still up in my travels this weekend. You'de think those would be the first ones taken off the lawn, but still they are there and probably will be until January. After all, people leave their lights up after Christmas forever out of laziness...I'm betting the sign thing will remain. I still see Bush presidential nominee stickers on cars! OY!
There is still alot of signs in my area too. I just hope he can change things around. I agree with his ad, we don't need more of the same.
